·  Surface Preparation is Key:
To achieve the best results with your butyl rubber tape, it’s essential that the surface you’re working with is both dry and clean before applying the tape. Any moisture or debris will compromise the adhesive strength, so make sure to thoroughly wipe down the surface. Once applied, the tape requires the surface to remain dry for at least 24 hours to ensure a strong bond. The drier and cleaner the surface, the better the tape’s adhesion will be.

Once the tape is in place, it’s important not to reposition or reuse it, as the butyl rubber tape has very strong adhesive properties.
